A scary situation is unfolding in a Baltimore suburb, where an explosion that appears to have been caused by a derailed train collapsed several buildings this afternoon, according to officials. So far, no injuries have been reported, although it’s obviously still early and investigators are still trying to piece together what happened.
The Associated Press reports that the blast “was heard for miles,” an account that appears to be confirmed in the video below that was uploaded to YouTube this afternoon. (I’m personally unfamiliar with the White Marsh area in question, but the Baltimore Sun appears confident that the video is legit.) Warning: There is some strong language in the background.
