Vice President Joe Biden was out in full force on gun control this morning. Characteristically, his Thursday appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" involved some verbal detours from the core of the Obama administration's push to pass gun control legislation. Notably, the vice president said that some gun owners made the purchase because holding a gun feels super great. In his words: "They like the way it feels. You know, it’s like driving a Ferrari.”

Here's the full quote for posterity's sake (emphasis ours):

“It used to be we were dealing almost exclusively with hunters. There’s a whole new sort of group of individuals now who, I don’t know what the numbers are, that never hunt at all but they own guns for one of two reasons: self protection or they just like the feel of that AR-15 at the range. They like the way it feels. You know, it’s like driving a Ferrari.
