Three months after the fatal gang-rape of a woman in New Delhi outraged Indians, and much of the world, a Swiss, 39-year-old woman was gang-raped by eight men while she was on a cycling trip through central India with her husband. The rape, which happened in the presence of her husband, took place at around 9 p.m. when the couple was camping in a forest popular with tourists, reports the Press Trust of India.

The men reportedly beat the couple, stole their mobile phone, computer, and some cash, according to the Associated Press. Thirteen men were detained for questioning, although six of them were quickly released.
