I don’t have anything else to add to this, so I’ll just give you the Associated Press lede and send you on your way:
Ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman met North Korea’s Kim Jong Un on Thursday on the third day of his improbable journey to Pyongyang, telling the leader “You have a friend for life,” a delegation spokesman said.
OK, fine, one more snippet, which highlights just how much of a PR stunt Rodman’s trip to the reclusive nation is (please note the wonderfully relative “most” in the second sentence):
Rodman and Kim sat side by side at an exhibition game in Pyongyang …. The encounter makes Rodman the most high-profile American to meet with the young North Korean leader since Kim took power in December 2011, and takes place against a backdrop of tension between Washington and Pyongyang.
And the score of that basketball game they were watching? A 110-110 tie. Sure, OK.
