As Hollywood gets ready for the Academy Awards, there was one final awards ceremony. But unlike the other award shows in the run-up to the Oscars, this one seeks to recognize the worst movies and performances of the year in what the organizers describe “as a logical antidote to Tinsel Town’s annual glut of self-congratulatory awards.” This year, it was all about Twilight. It seemed the voters at the Razzie Awards knew it would be their last chance to mock the popular vampire saga and they didn’t waste the opportunity, granting Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 seven awards, reports USA Today.

Star Kristen Stewart, co-star Taylor Lautner and director Bill Cordon all received Golden Raspberry statuettes. The entire cast got worst screen ensemble and, as might be expected, Twilight also beat out A Thousand Words, Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, and That’s My Boy! for the worst picture award.

Despite Twilight’s impressive haul, it still didn’t come close to last year’s “unprecedented” sweep in all ten categories for Adam Sandler’s Jack & Jill, note the Razzies organizers. Sandler was once again present this year and scored the worst actor “award” for That’s My Boy!, which also won worst screenplay. Rihanna received the supporting actress Razzie for her role in Battleship.
