Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suffered a concussion after fainting earlier this week, a consequence of dehydrataion caused by a stomach virus, reports ABC News. The State Department released a very short statement saying Clinton will “continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with Department and other officials.” Clinton “will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors.”
Clinton, 65, had been scheduled to go to Morocco earlier in the week to officially recognize the Syrian rebels but canceled the trip because she wasn’t feeling well. Clinton now won’t testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday about the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, Libya, reports the Associated Press. The chairman of the Senate committee, Sen. John Kerry, reportedly “insisted that given her condition, she could not and should not appear” before the committee, Kerry spokeswoman Jodi Seth said.
