Who Was Funnier at Last Night’s Alfred Smith Dinner: Romney or Obama?

President Obama and Mitt Romney were in New York City last night for the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, the Catholic Archdiocese of New York’s white-tie charity benefit that makes headlines every four years when the presidential candidates drop their talking points for an evening and try out their best stand-up routines.

This year’s event came two days after what has been widely described as one of—if not the—most combative and contentious presidential debates in modern American history, so the (relatively) lighthearted banter stood out that much more.
