This fall’s debate schedule just got a little more crowded. And, we’d be willing to bet, a good deal more hilarious.

Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart have announced they will square off next month in a 90-minute, pay-per-view debate they’re billing as “The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium.” It will take place October 6 on the George Washington University campus, and will be streamed live on the Internet for a nickel less than $5.

E.D. Hill, who has anchored programs on both CNN and Fox News, will play the role of moderator. Here are the statements via the New York Times:

In a statement, Mr. Stewart said: “I’m excited to debate Mr. O’Reilly. I believe this will be a very enjoyable night for fans of our programs, political junkies, partisans and people who just enjoy yelling.”

Mr. O’Reilly said in the statement: “I had no idea my agent signed me up for this. How can I get out of it?”
