After a day of campaigning, President Obama stopped by the Gator's Docskide restaurant in Orlando and ordered a beer. When he began working the room and talking to patrons, he came across a table of 10, where he was told that Andre Wupperman, who will turn seven next week, was born in Hawaii, reports Politico.
That was his cue. Obama smiled, and flashed the shaka sign, and then asked, “You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?” Everyone at the table burst out laughing. (Video embedded below.) Obama’s remark was clearly meant as a dig on birthers, but also “perhaps” on Mitt Romney, notes the Washington Post. The Republican candidate had made his own birth-certificate joke at a campaign event in Michigan last month.
