The Eleventh Day of Christmas Is the Tenth Day of Snow Garbage

However well or poorly the New York sanitation department did at clearing the snow from December’s blizzard, the garbage trucks were too busy driving around with plows on to pick up any garbage. Around Manhattan, at least, the bag-drifts are outlasting the snowdrifts (and have saved at least one person’s life along the way, when a suicidal man jumped from his ninth-story apartment this past weekend and landed on a trash pile).
