Seventy-Seven Percent of Afghan Vote Deemed Non-Fraudulent

going? The Associated Press has an

update on democracy in Afghanistan

:

Election commission chairman Fazel Ahmad Manawi says about 1.3 million votes were disqualified out of 5.6 million. That means about 23 percent of ballots were discarded because of ballot-box stuffing or re-jiggered totals.

So if you’re counting, if “Fraud” were a political party, it would have won 57 seats in the 249-seat Parliament. Maybe the winning party could include it in a coalition.
