Fashion Week is at Lincoln Center, but it doesn't own Lincoln Center. Men in eccentrically tailored shirts thumb their smartphones on the sidewalks next to Fordham students; hyper-ectomorphic models clamber up the steps from the 1 train along with the short-legged masses. The tents have engulfed the depressing plaza off to the downtown side of the complex, leaving the central space and the fountain open as usual to whoever wishes to wander through.
