Many vacation destinations claim to be the happiest place on Earth, but in my experience, Provincetown’s Bear Week has an outstanding claim to the title. For eight glorious days and nights, the Cape Cod resort becomes bigger, furrier, and friendlier than usual when the burly, hairy gay dudes known as bears enjoy a week of summer fun. I especially recommend walking down Commercial Street as the various bear packs head to tea dance on wrestling singlet night.
