Sweet, Sweet Justice: Russia’s Currency Is Now Faring Worse Than Ukraine’s

Yesterday, I noted that if Russia’s ruble continued to fall, it might take the title of poorest performing national currency of 2014, beating out Ukraine’s hryvnia.

With today’s sell-off, it’s official: According to this chart by head Bloomberg economist Michael McDonough, Russia is now ahead in the race for Worst Currency in the World. Consider it a small spiritual victory for the country Putin invaded.
