There are times when you complain about ticket prices—anytime pre-pennant race is fine—and then there are instances when you just have to marvel at them. This, the eve of a potentially decisive Game 6 of the World Series at Fenway Park, is a time for marveling. Not because the face value of seats on Wednesday night is already the highest of any game in history, according to Yahoo Sports (that’s actually worth a quick grumble), but that those prices are being dwarfed by what’s being charged by brokers and scalpers—making this the most expensive ticket in baseball history.

Ticket brokers and analysts have parsed the data, Yahoo Sports reports, and are convinced Game 6 tickets will be the most expensive ticket ever for a baseball game, ranging from $900 for standing-room-only stubs to a $10,000-plus for seats close to the field. On Tuesday afternoon, according to SeatGeek, the average price for a ticket was $1,024, the highest since the company began tracking ticket-pricing data in 2009.

If you’re in the market to go to the game, or just want to browse in awe, take a look at StubHub, where the prices range from around $1,000 to over $10,000 for a seat behind the dugout. The prices are certainly steep, historically so, unless there’s a Game 7.
