The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. The government is shutting down. Here’s the memo from the Office of Management and Budget:

I’m a little frustrated that this is happening, but given the practical alternatives a shutdown is better than a stopgap solution since it gives us the best chance of avoiding a debt ceiling disaster.
