When Hostess Brands entered Chapter 7 liquidation back in December, it set off a period of mass panic as fans of Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and other Hostess baked goods scrambled to get their hands on the remaining stock of curiously nonperishable foodstuffs. Well, if you missed out, there’s no need to panic. When you liquidate a company like Hostess, you don’t just sell off the trucks and other physical assets, the brands and the recipes also go on the chopping block, so a couple of private equity companies bought the brands and will start selling Twinkies in a few months.
