What A Skills-Mismatch Looks Like

Brazilian prostitutes are apparently studying English in advance of the 2014 World Cup and the anticipating earnings premium for English-speaking sex workers.

This kind of thing is why you should never take talk of "skills-mismatch" too seriously. Obviously employers are always going to dream of a world of more-skilled workers. But when demand is real and met with an actual wage premium, markets respond nicely. It's not brain surgery.
