The Endless, Pointless Small Business Tax Debate

I did a column on the small business tax arguments in the debate, arguing that Romney’s argument that raising rich people’s taxes will kill small business hiring is bunk. The tax hike that really does threaten small business hiring is the looming expiration of the payroll tax cut.

You’d think both parties could come together on the idea of extending those tax cuts, but instead it seems to be a totally orphaned policy idea that nobody in congress wants to talk about.
