Leisure and Hospitality is Back

There’s no real special significance to when a sector regains it’s exact pre-recession peak point, but as someone who enjoys staring at charts it feels significant to me. And with the April revisions to the Employment Situation Report we can now say that in March 2012 seasonally adjusted employment in the Leisure and Hospitality Services sector finally reached a new peak level.

So all the Leisure and Hospitality Workers out there—whether you find yourself working in the small “museums, historic sites, and similar institutions” sub-sector or the mighty juggernaut that is “food services and drinking places”—give yourself a round of applause. Take a bow.
