Apple and six major book publishers found a way to increase e-book prices. The Justice Department says it’s illegal collusion. The Author’s Guild says it’s the last best hope for vibrant literary culture. I say the publishing industry is facing intense competition and disruptive change no matter what these guys do, and the DOJ may as well leave them alone.
