A new Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report will be out today at 8:30 AM. My guess is that we'll see a strong number consistent with an accelerating recovery story. I'll go with 285,000 as my point estimate. I reviewed most of the data points that lead to that forecast a week ago, but I would add Heidi Shierolz's point that aggregate hours worked are near their pre-recession level, so firms have less room to squeeze output without adding jobs.
