Mitt Romney’s Very Expensive Military

Presumably if Charles and David Koch succeed in getting the Cato Institute more fully focused on beating Barack Obama, we won’t see more posts like this one from Chris Preble on Mitt Romney’s defense spending plans. Until then, I think the chart more or less speaks for itself. The Romney military, according to his campaign promises, is going to be extraordinarily expensive. The flipside of this is that to reconcile Romney’s tax pledges with his military spending pledges will require very substantial cuts in non-military spending.
