What’s Still In Play In SOPA

Over the weekend I more or less had the sense that the anti-SOPA forces had won the fight, thus rendering today’s planned day of proetst fun but not-so-relevant, but that’s not right. Brad Plumer has a very helpful rundown of the still-living elements of the legislation stalking the halls of congress. One difficulty in fighting against son-of-SOPA legislative efforts is going to be that anti-SOPA campaigning has focused very heavily on the most extreme elements of the bill and not quite aimed at the core of the underlying dubious economic and public policy arguments driving the legislation. I should have a longer piece on that out later in the day, but for now enjoy Plumer’s account.
