I love Horace Dediu's data visualizations about the mobile devices market and this one showing how explosive growth in iPhone profits pushed Apple quite suddenly ahead of Microsoft is a fun one. All the reviews I've seen of the new Windows Phone stuff are very positive, so there's ample possibility that Microsoft will catch back up. But if their phones don't take off, it's hard to see how they avoid getting left in the dust.
