DARPA Made Its Own Hilariously Exuberant Birthday Card

ATLAS is amped up about this birthday.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency does a lot of serious work, but sometimes you just have to mellow out and unwind. Especially when it's your birthday! DARPA is 56 today, so the agency rounded up everyone's favorite (sometimes creepy) humanoid robot ATLAS for a party.

Is it safe for ATLAS to be holding those sparklers? Probably because it looks like they were Photoshopped in (or at the very least the fire was). There's nothing like throwing yourself a little social-media party to remind the world that you exist ... and really love robots.
