Cher, the acclaimed singer, actress, and artist behind the greatest celebrity Twitter account of all time, is heading to Broadway. Or rather, Cher herself may not necessarily be heading to Broadway, but The Cher Show, a musical about her life, is definitely on its way. The production will debut at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre in June 2018 for a five-week run before continuing on to the Neil Simon Theater in New York in the fall. A jukebox musical, The Cher Show will feature the hits of it titular character, naturally, which means we can expect to hear songs like “Believe,” “If I Could Turn Back Time,” and “I Got You Babe.”

According to a press release, the show will follow Cher across multiple stages of her life: “The kid on a tricycle, vowing to be famous. The teenage phenom who crashes by twenty. The glam TV star who quits at the top. The would-be actress with an Oscar. The rock goddess with a hundred million records sold. The legend who’s done it all, still scared to walk on stage.”

Three different actresses, whose names have not yet been announced, will play Cher at various ages and eras, while other characters will include Cher’s ex-husbands Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman and her longtime costume designer Bob Mackie. According to the New York Times, a significant portion of the budget will go toward re-creating Cher’s iconic looks over the years.

Rick Elice, who wrote the book of another musical biopic, Jersey Boys, will pen The Cher Show. Cher has previously expressed her excitement for the project on (where else?) Twitter:
