Update, June 12, 2017: TMZ is now reporting that “sources close to” Corinne Olympios say she was drunk to the point of being “in a blackout state” due to alcohol and “was in no position to consent” to sexual activity, adding further that she has “lawyered up.” The Los Angeles Times is sticking with the story that involves a third-party complaint from one of the show’s producers, describing a “very raunchy” scene but not raising the specter of sexual assault. The New York Times is using the noncommital “accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior.”
Original post: After just a week of filming in Mexico, ABC has suspended production on Bachelor in Paradise’s fourth season due to the launching of a thorough investigation into, as the Warner Bros. statement reads, “allegations of misconduct.” And, now, thanks to the Los Angeles Times’ Amy Kaufman, we may have an answer as to what that “misconduct” actually was.
According to a thread that she tweeted out on Sunday night, Kaufman spoke to a source who said that two cast members—Demario Jackson and Corinne Olympios—had a sexual encounter in the pool that turned into raunchy “soft-core porn.” After witnessing the encounter, a producer on the show then filed a third-party complaint. And, according to a source who spoke to People magazine, Olympios may have been too drunk to consent to the encounter.
Warner Bros. has not released an official word on whether this encounter between Jackson and Olympios is the subject of its investigation; however, Steve Carbone—a blogger known for posting Bachelor spoilers on his website, RealitySteve.com—tweeted a photo showing the Bachelor in Paradise cast minus Jackson and Olympios at the Puerto Vallarta airport and apparently on their way to Houston.
For now, however, it looks like that the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise is canceled.
