If you loved Raoul Peck’s excellent, Oscar-nominated documentary I Am Not Your Negro or just remain continuously fascinated by James Baldwin’s extraordinary life, this will surely be of interest: On Thursday evening, the Schomburg Center will be live-streaming a conversation between Peck, Kevin Young (director of the center), and Paul Holdengräber (director of the New York Public Library’s Live From the NYPL). The sold-out event, “Artists and the Archive,” is meant to honor the Schomburg’s recent acquisition of Baldwin’s personal papers and will find the celebrated filmmaker discussing his career in documenting history for the screen.

You can stream the event here, tonight, starting at 7, Eastern Standard Time. And if you haven’t caught up with the surprise box-office hit yet, you should absolutely remedy that, ASAP.
