SNL Asks the Question on Everyone’s Mind: Where in the World Is Kellyanne Conway?

Where in the world is Kellyanne Conway? For its plum post-monologue slot, SNL decided to ask the question on every political observer’s mind, cleverly reimagining it as a Carmen Sandiego sendup. “She used to be on TV, on like every single panel,” guest host Chris Pine sang. “Then one day we all woke up, and she was no longer there.”

Featuring Kate McKinnon as Conway as Sandiego—a criminal mastermind who is notoriously difficult to pin down—the sketch took the typical game-show format, with kids lined up as the gumshoes featured to help “find” her. But rather than educate on geography and world cultures, this edition ended, well, a little abruptly. “Are you guys ready to help us find Kellyanne Conway?!” Mikey Day’s agent Greg Lee asked, with much enthusiasm. There wasn’t quite as much enthusiasm on the receiving end, however. As Gumshoe Stephanie admits, quietly, “We don’t want to find her.”

May that line be remembered in the years to come.
