She may already have an Academy Award, but Billy Eichner, host of Billy on the Street, thinks Nyong’o can dream bigger—specifically, of a half-hour standup comedy special of her very own. But before Lupita Nyong’o: Bring the Pain comes to a streaming service near you, Eichner had the actress hit the streets so she could test out her comedic timing on unsuspecting New Yorkers, using lines from comedians like Louis C.K., Bob Saget, Daniel Tosh, and Andrew Dice Clay.
Nyong’o may not want to quit her day job just yet, since based on the NSFW clip, most New Yorkers weren’t all that impressed by her jokes about bestiality, excretion, and pornography. A surprising number haven’t even heard of her. (Shout out to the guy who doesn’t “give a s—” about her Oscar for 12 Years a Slave.) Tough crowd.
