When Dave Chappelle makes a comeback, he doesn’t do it by halves. Netflix has announced that the too-long-absent comedian is returning to TV with three original stand-up specials coming to the streaming service—one to be produced exclusively for Netflix, plus two never-before-seen shows from “Chappelle’s personal comedy vault.” (Oh, to be an archivist in said vault.)

The Netflix deal marks the first taped concert specials from Chappelle in 12 years. The announcement follows Chappelle’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live earlier this month, during which he delivered a monologue that was essentially a stand-up routine covering everything from the election to Black Lives Matter and revived some classic Chappelle’s Show characters.

Chappelle’s never-before-seen specials, filmed at Austin City Limits Live and the Hollywood Palladium, will drop in 2017. His original Netflix show does not yet have a release date.*
