Kanye West is at a Los Angeles hospital where he has been placed under observation for his own health and safety, NBC News is reporting. Earlier Monday, West canceled the rest of his U.S. tour, after a string of uncharacteristic behavior that began with his announcement on Thursday that he would have voted for Trump and led to a disastrous Sacramento, California, concert in which he arrived an hour-and-a-half late and performed only a few songs before going on a rant about Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Hillary Clinton and ending the show. West appeared onstage in Sacramento with Kid Cudi, who has spoken frankly about his own struggles with depression in the past. West himself has rapped about being on the antidepressant Lexapro.

Very little is known about the reasons for West’s hospitalization at present, but NBC reports that the Los Angeles Police Department received a medical welfare call early Monday afternoon that led to West being taken to the hospital. According to its sources, “no criminal activity is involved.” Kanye West’s representatives have yet to confirm or comment on West’s reported hospitalization.
