On Election Day eve, Chance the Rapper reminded us all, yet again, that he is one of the most unfailingly charming artists around right now. The proud Chicago native led an exuberant parade of people throughout downtown Chicago and to the polls for early voting.

The evening kicked off with a free concert in Grant Park, which Chance organized with the NAACP and other activists for the #StayWokeandVote campaign and is targeted at young voters and people of color. Afterward, he and hundreds (thousands?) of people made their way through the streets, and Chance cast his vote to a burst of cheers.

A record number of early votes—over 438,212—were reported in Cook County as of 8 p.m. Monday. (The previous record of 273,661 ballots was in 2012.)
