Colbert and Run the Jewels Made a Holiday Song Called “The Halloween Wiggle,” and It’s … Raunchy

This is not your parents’ “Monster Mash.” The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert is something of an expert when it comes to making novelty holiday songs, so who better to try to unseat Bobby Pickett as the king of Halloween kitsch? Colbert recruited Run the Jewels to help him create a Halloween classic for a new generation, but they must have gotten their signals crossed, because while Colbert’s vision of the song involves hokey sweaters and shimmying ghosts, Killer Mike and El-P have something raunchier in mind.

As brides of Frankenstein gyrate around them, Killer Mike raps that he’ll “spread your cobwebs and arch your back/ And I’mma stick my hand down your candy sack.” The back-and-forth between his “Halloween Wiggle” and Colbert’s is certainly catchy. Just don’t play it around your kids.
