The Daily Show Made a Fake Law Firm Ad Just for “Libel Bully” Trump

The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah mocked Donald Trump’s long history as a “libel bully” after Trump seemingly couldn’t stick to the script while delivering a speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. Trump deviated from his planned remarks, per usual, threatening to sue the women who have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault. This led the American Bar Association to draw up a report about Trump’s litigiousness—only to refuse to publish it, out of fear that they too might be sued for libel.

“Trump sues so many people that he must have platinum medallion status at the courthouse,” quipped Noah. There’s definitely a market for Trump-specific lawsuits, so correspondent Jordan Klepper decided to get in on the action with an ad for a law firm tailor-made for the Republican candidate. With Klepper and Sons around, never again will “maliciously true information” go unlitigated.
