Keegan-Michael Key and Joss Whedon Offer a Different Kind of Election Forecast in New Anti-Trump Ad

We’re just three weeks from Election Day, and just in case anyone was starting to feel complacent about preventing the rise of Supreme Leader Trump, Joss Whedon and Keegan-Michael Key have come out with a new ad that should put the fear back into you. In the newest spot for Whedon’s aptly named anti-Trump PAC Save the Day, Key plays a weatherman offering a grim forecast for a Trump-ruled United States. “We are seeing a heavy wave of denial coming in from both coasts,” he begins, “trapping a high blood pressure front right in the heart of the country.” He also predicts expensive (if ultimately unsuccessful) construction along the U.S.-Mexico border, heavy “shortfall” from D.C. to Wall Street and “civil unrest” in the South that takes the country back to the early ’60s. And unnervingly, he says it all with a smile on his face.

Of course, that facade cracks when another reporter is caught crying, terrified of such predictions. “Tammi, you voted for Jill Stein, you thoughtless ass,” Key’s weatherman reminds her. “Now suck it up like the rest of us!”
