Alec Baldwin is going from playing Donald Trump to playing, now, a literal boss baby. The Emmy-winning actor, who has recently exploited the Republican presidential nominee’s historically thin skin on Saturday Night Live, is the voice behind the titular character of Dreamworks’ newest film: a snarky, briefcase-carrying, suspiciously secretive baby.
Based on Marla Frazee’s picture book of the same name, The Boss Baby, in other words, finds Baldwin very much in his element. Clearly, playing a fast-talking narcissist with the emotional intelligence of a child served as solid preparation.
