Solange and a Bevy of Beautiful Black People Dance and Pose in Her Two New Music Videos

When you watch any of Solange’s music videos, there is one undeniable constant: They all look gorgeous. Following the Friday release of her new album A Seat at the Table, the artist has dropped two complementary videos for tracks “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky,” which are fully in keeping with her commitment to stylish, stunning visuals.

In each, Solange dances and poses against natural and architectural back drops while adorned in eye-catching designs. “Don’t Touch My Hair,” a song in which she refuses to give in to the objectification of her black body and dismissals of her lived-in experiences (“They don’t understand what it means to me,” she sings) is especially captivating. Black men and women—including musical collaborator Sampha—don an array of hairdos, celebrating the beauty and variety of black style. Check out the videos, directed by Solange and her husband Alan Ferguson, below.
