This Saturday Night Live short has essentially the same joke as the skit that preceded it—did you know Margot Robbie is very good-looking?—but powers through to strange and hilarious places through sheer force of will. Robbie’s force of will, to be clear: All due respect to the rest of the cast, but it’s her full commitment to the role (and to the makeup and costume) that sells it. The sketch doesn’t really stick the landing, but the details along the way are choice, especially Robbie’s tattoos.
But let’s face it, if you clicked on a Slate headline containing the words “Margot Robbie” and “Sexiest Librarian,” the odds that you’re reading this instead of already frantically clicking play on the video are pretty slim. Here’s hoping the skit delivers exactly what you expected.
