Joe Biden Went After Trump in the Most Gracious, Biden-esque Way Possible on The Tonight Show

Joe Biden stopped by the Tonight Show to chat (and share an ice cream cone) with host Jimmy Fallon, and as is his tendency, the vice president offered some direct but still good-natured commentary on the state of the country and the election. (He assuringly predicts a Clinton victory.) “The American people really don’t like being played for suckers,” he said when talking about Trump near-admitting that he doesn’t pay federal taxes. And when describing Trump’s candidacy more broadly, Biden showed courtesy and restraint, noting that Trump is “probably a decent guy” but that he just doesn’t seem to know enough to do the job. “I’ve never known a candidate who knows as little about the world as this man does,” Biden said. “I don’t think he realizes how much damage he’s done by what he’s already said.”

But is there reason to expect Trump to learn up? “I mean, there’s hope,” Biden cracked. “He found out Crimea is part of Ukraine!”
