Courtney B. Vance’s Charming Emmy Acceptance Speech for People v. O.J. Ended With the Perfect Kicker

Courtney B. Vance took home the Emmy for Best Actor in a Limited Series tonight for his performance as Johnnie Cochran in The People v. O.J. Simpson, defeating costar Cuba Gooding, Jr. as well as Bryan Cranston, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Tom Hiddleston. In his speech, Vance thanked creator Ryan Murphy and wife Angela Bassett before ending with a special shout out: “Obama out, Hillary in!”

Clinton is getting a lot of love at tonight’s Emmys—Kate McKinnon, who has played Clinton on Saturday Night Live, also plugged the candidate in her speech. Trump, on the other hand: not as much.
