You probably recognize 14-year-old Gaten Matarazzo as the lovable, lisping goofball Dustin from Netflix’s Stranger Things. What you may not know is that Matarazzo also has an amazing singing voice: A video of Matarazzo singing from Les Misérables at karaoke is making the rounds online, and it is impressive.
The Stranger Things actor has previously performed on Broadway, including as Gavroche in the recent revival of Les Mis, which explains a lot. Still, it’s a little unnerving to hear how effortlessly Matarazzo nails “Bring Him Home” in such a casual setting. (That Spongebob balloon in the background isn’t helping.)
Though that video is a few years old, it turns out Matarazzo’s still got it; here he is performing with sister Sabrina at Elsie Fest on Monday.
