High Maintenance may be moving to HBO, but fans of the cult webseries can let out a sigh (or maybe a puff) of relief—a new trailer shows that even with its new home on a major network and a bigger budget, the weed comedy seems to be sticking to its roots. The new trailer offers more substance (and substances) than the teaser released in April, showcasing more of the Weed Guy’s clients, including a selfie-taking, green-haired woman and a guy wth a sword.
As in the webseries, New York is where all the action takes place, much of it in apartments. Although, if a certain Republican nominee wins the race, that might change. “We’re all moving if Trump wins,” the Weed Guy tells one client. “But I don’t wanna move. Now. Fuck.”
High Maintenance’s new season premieres Sept. 16 on HBO.
