This Hilarious Video Reimagines Each Game of Thrones Death With the Crying Jordan Meme

Even by the show’s notorious standards, this was a dark season for Game of Thrones, all the way through to its dramatically deadly conclusion. And in the days since that bloody finale, viewers have been mourning fallen characters with close analysis, obituaries, and of course, some wild fan theories.

But someone has taken the art of grieving to an entirely new—not to mention very funny—level. YouTube channel Cycle recently posted an “In Memoriam” of sorts, sequentially depicting each killing against the weepy backdrop of Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel.” Only, it’s with a twist: Each of the victims’ faces is replaced with the unfailing Crying Jordan meme, in anguish at the precise moment of death. By the time the video gets to a certain blast at the Great Sept of Baelor, the line between tears of laughter and tears of sadness has been successfully blurred.
