Neil Young had us seeing double as he sang a duet with his doppelganger on The Tonight Show on Tuesday. Host Jimmy Fallon dusted off his recurring Young impression to wax lyrical about the nature of their shared identity: “Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump/ Where did the other Neil come from?/ I am you, you are me/ Love is love.” Young and imitation Young have previously performed together to sing “Old Man.”
The real Young has a new album, Earth, out on Friday. Meanwhile, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Fallon playing a guitar: Last year the comedian suffered multiple hand injuries (almost losing his ring finger) and announced that he had Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. He seems to have recovered nicely, though, for their twin jam session.
