It Looks Like P.T. Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis Are Reuniting for a New Movie

There will be a reunion?

It’s been almost a decade since Daniel Day-Lewis starred in Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood and a classic actor-director pairing was born. In that time, Day-Lewis has laid low and starred in only two other films, Nine (2009) and Lincoln (2012), for which he won his third Oscar for Best Actor.

But it appears that Anderson may be poised to lure the famously selective actor back to the screen, as Day-Lewis is apparently in talks to star in Anderson’s eighth feature film. Variety reports Anderson is currently working on the script for a movie that will be “set in 1950s New York and revolve around the fashion industry,” though there is no word yet on what kind of character Day-Lewis might play. Whatever shape the project takes, their possible reunion is certainly cause for excitement. Perhaps a round of milkshakes is in order?
