Bran still hasn't found out who Jon Snow's parents are, but the reveal from "The Door," the fifth episode of Game of Thrones, might be an even bigger shocker. House Slate hosts Amanda Marcotte and Marc Faletti discuss what the Children's mistake thousands of years ago means for Daenerys Targaryen today.

The scary magic stuff sucks up a lot of oxygen, but this episode brings up some other pressing questions: How is Euron Greyjoy just like Littlefinger? Does Sansa Stark know the North as well as she thinks? And where, exactly, can Jorah get his greyscale cured in a world without 21st-century medicine?

Amanda Marcotte is writer for Salon.
