Key and Peele Don Jumpsuits to Teach Trevor Noah the Dangers of Letting Ex-Convicts Vote

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe made headlines last week after announcing that he would use his executive powers to give 200,000 convicted felons in the state the right to vote. He also raised quite a few eyebrows from skeptics challenging the politics of McAuliffe’s move and questioning whether ex-convicts are morally qualified to participate in elections. The Daily Show took that line of inquiry a step further by asking: Do felons even want to vote?

The result is a very funny sketch in which Trevor Noah and “senior incarceration correspondent” Jordan Klepper consult two ex-cons, played by brilliant comedy duo Key and Peele (taking a break from their busy schedule of auditioning kittens for their upcoming movie, Keanu, to drop by). Though Noah has already shut down the reasoning of those who oppose McAuliffe’s decision, it turns out that Darius and Killa B. Killed agree that their ability to vote could prove dangerous—after all, they might just vote for Ted Cruz.
