Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramírez, and a Swole Usher Star in the Trailer for Boxing Biopic Hands of Stone

On June 20, 1980, Panamanian boxer Roberto Durán broke the undefeated streak of WBC Welterweight Champion Sugar Ray Leonard. A few months later, the pair faced each other again in a rematch, and an infamous fight was etched into boxing history—the “No Más” match, in which a defeated Durán gave up fighting at the end of the eighth round.

These showdowns and more of the prerequisite biopic ingredients (hardscrabble upbringing, overcoming challenges, rise to fame) appear to be part of Hands of Stone, the upcoming biopic about the legendary boxer who retired in 2002 at age 50. The incredibly talented Edgar Ramírez (Carlos, Joy) slips into the gloves of Durán, while Robert De Niro finds himself on the other side of the ring this time, as his coach, Ray Arcel.

But even if you’re not too big on boxing movies, it’s still worth clicking play on this trailer for the chance to glimpse a superjacked Usher (or rather, Usher Raymond IV, as he’s billed) as Sugar Ray.
